Broadcast + Social + Video

A one stop shop for all things finance

Took on social for a bit, produced a broadcast spot fully in-house, and have touched everything from email, landing pages, to display.

Behind the scenes

What I did

Our CEO wanted a TV spot to run during one of his upcoming CNBC appearances to show off our new Invest product. Oh, and we only have a few weeks and it all has to be done in-house. No problem!

Music selection + editing

Since we needed to tell such a densely packed story, after boarding up the sections I immediately started a search for a music track that I knew I could edit and tweak to our needs. Thanks to this very precise edit, everything just fell into place perfectly.

Animatic

After the boards were made and the track selected, I started to create an animatic that eventually went into testing and passed with flying colors (literally, "all greens across the board"). Our motion designer greatly appreciated being able to focus on the final animations and renders while I worked in parallel and kept updating the animatic.

Art direction

I art directed the whole spot from initial moodboards to working closely and collaborating with our motion designer to ensure everything came together just right.

Coordinated final production

Worked closely with the studio who recorded the final VO and mixed and mastered the spot by giving them my music edits to work from and ensured the final render met the required broadcast specs.

We were able to get an "extra credit short film" approved, shot, and produced in a matter of weeks for a Halloween campaign. I'm the spooky mail man and our wonderful project manager plays our hero.

Social

I worked on social during a transtion phase where we wanted to push the creative as much as possible while still being able to quickly develop everything in-house. Through close collaboration with the social team we were able to expand on the stories we wanted to tell, while cutting back in places we didn't think were working.

I was tasked with creating the template for a new how-to series of financial education videos. I created the lockup and art directed the first set of videos and now there's over a dozen videos in the series.
